Planning Specialties

We help people make the transition from the asset accumulation phase of life to retirement, as well as helping those already in retirement structure and manage their finances.

We help clients collect, organize, and make sense out of their assets, while providing a vision of their financial future and, where helpful, creating a structure that will make management easier. We focus on increasing the probability of achieving retirement goals by applying our unique investment risk management approach.

Before retirement, we help people answer the questions, "When can I retire? Given my savings and my lifestyle, will I have enough money?" After retirement, we help clients manage their income and retirement distributions for tax-efficiency, help them manage their investment assets, and identify safe spending levels to assure their financial longevity and the acheivement of their desired legacy.

The goal of our MarketAware(sm) approach is to manage risk better for all our investment clients. Successful asset management in retirement is different and more complicated than during the accumulation period of life for many people. A focus must be on risk, because options to recoup losses are more limited in retirement, and income withdrawals tend to increase the risk of permanent loss. But at the same time, providing ongoing growth of income is a priority as well as achieving possible longer-term legacy goals. All of these conflicting goals must be addressed and managed simultaneously within the constraints of available resources.

We help clients create a financial structure that can address these multiple needs, as well as provide on-going asset investment management to implement their plans.
