Mr. Feight is a former National Board Member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors were he served as the membership director. He is a former committee member of the Small Business Association of Michigan's (SBAM) Strategic Communications Committee. SBAM is the largest small business association in the country. Mr. Feight is also a past President of the Financial Planning Association of Michigan (FPA®), one of the largest, most influential FPA chapters in the country, 75% of which are Certified Financial Planners® (CFP®'s). Mr. Feight obtained the CFP® at age 27 in 2001. At the time, fewer than 3% of the 55,000 CFPs were younger than age 30. In 2004 Mr. Feight joined NAPFA. Out of the 800,000 individuals in the country who claim they are financial advisors/planners, fewer than 4,000 in the country qualify for NAPFA membership. In 2011 Mr. Feight became an Enrolled Agent (EA) with the Internal Revenue Service, one of the few professional allowed to represent taxpayers before the IRS.  Along with being interviewed and quoted in local and national media, Rich enjoys speaking about personal finance for industry and non-industry educational meetings alike. Rich views his role as a Fiduciary to his clients as the most important quality to any planning relationship and strives to place the interests of his clients above all others. A graduate of Michigan State University with a Finance degree, Rich enjoys running, reading, and spending time with his family.
