Planning Specialties

We offer comprehensive financial planning services covering all the major areas of financial planning, which include the following: Investment planning, retirement planning, tax planning, education planning, insurance planning, cash management (budgeting) and estate planning.

We specialize in tax, estate and retirement planning.  If you are a corporate executive who has received a restricted stock award we can review the potential benefits and possible dangers of an 83(b) election.  We can plan for the tax consequences of employer stock options whether they are Incentive Stock Options (ISO) or Nonqualified Stock Options (NQSO), including the hidden dangers of alternative minimum tax (AMT) on the exercise of ISOs.  We will also help you develop an estate plan that allows your assets to pass to your beneficiaries in the most efficient manner possible in keeping with your wishes.  Retirement distribution planning focuses on the most tax efficient way of taking distributions from your retirement accounts.  We can help developing a strategy of withdrawals prior to reaching your required minimum distribution age of 70 ½.  Included in retirement planning is social security and Medicare planning which focuses on maximizing your benefits and minimizing your medical expenses.

The planning services offered can be as broad or narrowly focused as you desire.  For example we may assist in determining the proper investment allocations for your retirement accounts based on the available options and your risk tolerance.  We also provide as-needed hourly services.  Please keep in mind that when an engagement focuses on a certain area of interest or need, your overall financial situation or other needs may not be fully addressed due to limitations that you have established.

Hourly consultations are available typically with a two hour minimum.

David S. Markle, CPA/PFS, CFP®, CGMA

Owner of Markle Wealth Management

As a graduate from college in 1992 I worked in the accounting department of a small telephone company and moved to a position with a construction contractor a year later.  At this stage of my life my sole focus was on becoming a CPA.  I left private accounting for a position in a Philadelphia CPA firm in 1996 and quickly determined I liked being a tax accountant.  I was recruited out of the Philadelphia firm in 1997 and remained in the tax department of a public accounting firm till 2005.  Although I liked tax work, financial planning became my passion and primary area of interest.  I enjoy helping people solve their financial issues not just their tax problems.

In 2005 I went to work for a Registered Investment Advisor that managed over a billion dollars in client assets.  It was a great place to learn all aspects of financial planning and prepare to open my own wealth management firm.  My desire and promise is to always act in good faith and in the best interest of my clients.
