Jeffrey Platt, JD, CFA, CFP® is the founding principal of Platt Wealth Management. He graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Jeff earned a Juris Doctor degree from Western State University, College of Law in 1980, and was admitted to the California Bar that same year. He earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 1994. Jeff is a CFA charter-holder, having earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Additional Information

Jeff currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center and received its Volunteer of the Year award in 2016.  He is a member of the Investment Committees of the United Way of San Diego and the Jewish Community Foundation of San Diego.  Besides being a member of the National Association of Personal Advisors (NAPFA), Jeff is also a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), the CFA Institute, and the Rady Children's Hospital Foundation Estates and Trusts Executive Committee and Council.  Previously, he served on the board of the San Diego Chapter of the Institute of Financial Planners and was an adjunct professor for the College for Financial Planning.  Jeff has been named one of the Best Five Star Wealth Managers by San Diego Magazine for multiple years. In 2016, he earned his black belt in Karate from Pacific Martial Arts.

I enjoy helping clients define what is really important to them.  Even more exciting to me is helping my clients uncover a dream that they did not think possible, and then assisting them in achieving that dream.

I like training in karate and playing basketball, but I most enjoy spending time with my family.
