Bob Siefert is President, Principal & Wealth Manager of Modera Wealth Management, LLC. He specializes in portfolio construction, retirement accumulation and distribution strategies, and philanthropic planning. Bob’s interest in philanthropy includes investment advisory services for foundations, trusts and charitable organizations.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Bob started his own financial planning practice in 1994. Three years later he joined John LeBlanc, CFP® and founded Back Bay Financial Group,Inc., which in 2011 merged with Modera, Inc. to become Modera Wealth Management, LLC. Bob’s earlier corporate experience includes the areas of personal trust management, pension and retirement planning, and mutual fund administration. Bob has worked for such organizations as SEI Corporation, State Street Bank, The Boston Company and Mellon Bank.

Bob completed Boston University’s program for Financial Planning and earned his Certified Financial Planner™ certification in 1995. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Holy Cross College and a Master of Business Administration degree from Boston College.

Bob is a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals and the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors. As an active member of the financial planning community, Bob is often invited to speak on topics related to portfolio construction using efficient asset management techniques. He has been quoted in many publications including: Investment News, Wall Street Journal, Financial Planning Magazine, Boston Globe, Investment Advisor, Reuters and American Association of Individual Investors.

OUTSIDE OF MODERA

Bob serves on the Investment Committee and the Museum Committee at the International Tennis Hall of Fame. He is an avid tennis fan and continues to hone his game during his free time. Bob was Treasurer of the Boston Children’s Chorus and served on its Board from 2010 to 2016. He and his wife Maureen reside in North Reading. (bio dated 6/10/19 ER)
