Since founding Truepoint in 1990, Michael has put an emphasis on assembling and leading a team that works well together for the exclusive benefit of the client. As CEO, he focuses on providing strategic vision and leadership to the firm and leading business development efforts.

Under his watch, Truepoint has been regularly ranked as one of the top advisory firms in the nation by publications such as Barron’s, Worth and The Financial Times, among others.

Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Texas and is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional. He is a sought-after industry leader who has contributed much as a former chairman of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) – the leading professional organization of fee-only financial advisors, a registered advisor with the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA), a founding member of the International Center for Wealth Advisory Excellence (ICWAE), a long-tenured member of the Institutional Advisor Council of Fidelity Investments, and a founder and former member of the board of directors of the National Advisors Trust Company (NATC).

Locally, Michael serves on the Cincinnati Art Museum Finance & Budget Committee and the Summit Country Day School Foundation, and mentors students at Silverton Paideia Academy. He has three children and loves to golf, run, exercise and play guitar.
